Asher 9 Months

Asher's development has gone wild!  In the past week alone, he is doing so many new things it has blown me away.  He is our happy, snuggly, busy boy!  I take such great pleasure in taking care of him and spending time with him every day.  He just adds so much to our family.  At 9 months Asher is:
1.  Clapping.  He LOVES clapping to music, or when he's done something he's proud of like crawling or pulling up.
2.  Pulling up and Cruising.  The kid is pulling up on everything and anything he can find.  He will crawl over to the stairs or one of the toy bins and gets the proudest grin on his face once he's pulled up and moving.  It is getting a lot harder to protect him on these hard wood floors.  I can't turn my back for even a second or he is up and taking off.
3.  Giving high fives!
4.  Waving.  He sticks his little chubby hand way up high and loves to give a good wave to anyone around.
5.  Drinking out of a sippy cup.  He loves water and I am hoping this will help us transition to weaning at a year.
6.  Biting.  He has both his two bottom teeth and during teething he was biting horribly while nursing.  It was rough!  It seems now that they are through he has stopped, so I am holding onto hope.  Unfortunately, it appears his top two teeth are going to be starting soon, so we'll see what happens.
7.  Eating finger foods.  He loves puffs, yogurt melts, and anything he can feed himself.  The transition to table foods should be pretty easy I think.  He had his first table food at Nana and Bum's house...a little bit of rice and peas.
8.  Walking. He can take quite a few steps before crashing and wants to be walking or standing at all times.
9.  Crawling.  He crawls with one leg bent forward and one leg back.  It is hilarious and cracks all of us up!
10.  Standing up completely on his own without pulling up.  He figured it out this week and luckily has only done it a couple of times.
11.  Busy!  Asher is in that explorative age where he gets into everything and puts EVERYTHING in his mouth.  It is driving me crazy, ha ha.
12.  Taking two naps and a little evening one if needed.
13.  Wearing 12 month clothes (although with his short legs I have to roll his jeans up ha ha)
14.  Saying:  Mama, Dada, Nana, More, YAY, Hi, Papa, and has a word he says for yes sort of like "Da"
15.  Giving nice big sloppery kisses and still pulling hair (much to Cora's dismay).
